Dear SUSD Families and Friends,
As you know, next Tuesday, May 18th will determine if PROP 100, the temporary sales tax increase, will pass. It is imperative that everyone votes YES, as SUSD will incur $11,000,000 in additional cuts if it fails. This would be catastrophic, and decimate education as we know it.
If you don’t know where your polling place is, you can find it at www.recorder.maricopa.gov/pollingplace
If you have not mailed your early ballot, it is best, at this point, to drop it off at a polling place, to ensure it gets counted in time.
We all know that Arizona is currently ranked 50th/50 in funding for public education – Let’s do all we can to mitigate further loss.
Thank you,
Anna-Marie Mars
President, Scottsdale Parent Council
